Is staying in an experience accommodation uncomfortable or does getting there require any special effort?
In general, however, experience accommodation is oriented towards comfort and a pleasant stay, which certainly includes good accessibility and a comfortable sleeping area. There are also exceptions and more extreme places for experience accommodation (e.g. a house in a tree, accessible via a narrow staircase), but in such cases this is definitely stated on the service provider’s page.
What does "Price from" mean and why are there different prices on the property's calendar?
The term “Price from” indicates the lowest available nightly rate offered by the property. As a rule, the lower price is valid Mon-Thurs and the higher price is valid Fri-Sun, but the property may always offer a special price for certain dates or a last-minute offer. The special offer may be next month, so it is worth scrolling through the calendar to find the discounted price shown.
How can I make a reservation?
Once you have found a suitable accommodation according to your search criteria, be sure to check its availability in our calendar. NB! If the accommodation does not have a calendar on our website, send a request for the desired dates through the contact form on the page. The accommodation will respond to the request within 24 hours (Mon-Fri). When making a reservation through the calendar on our website, select the desired dates (arrival, departure) and click the “next” button. You will then be shown instructions on how to complete the reservation. Please write your special requests in the “Additional information” box next to the reservation. Upon confirmation of the reservation and receipt of payment, a confirmation letter and invoice will be sent to your e-mail, and your reservation information will appear under “My reservations”, where you can manage the reservation (change/cancel, communicate with the accommodation, notify of other changes, etc.).
Can I change or cancel my reservation?
Booking changes and cancellations are made according to the accommodation rules, which are listed separately on each host’s page. Depending on the reasons for the change or cancellation, the host will generally always try to accommodate the client, but sometimes this may not be possible. In the case of experience accommodations, it should be noted that there is often only 1 accommodation building, which is most likely already booked at the next times requested by the client, and the unexpected cancellation of the reservation (i.e. less than 48 hours before arrival) will have an extremely negative impact on the accommodation company. Therefore, we ask for the client’s understanding. According to the accommodation rules, requests for changes or cancellations can be submitted 24-48 hours before the start date of the reservation.
Who do I notify if I want to change or cancel my reservation?
If you wish to change or cancel your reservation, please contact the accommodation directly, whose contacts can be found under “My profile” > “My reservations”. We definitely recommend calling the accommodation to ensure timely information is provided. According to the accommodation’s rules, requests for changes or cancellations can be submitted 24-48 hours before the start date of the reservation.
If I can't come myself, can I give the reservation to someone else?
Again, this depends on the property’s policies, but they are generally accommodating in this regard. You will need the name and contact details of the new person. Please notify us of the change as soon as possible, at least 24 hours before the booking date.
Can I make a reservation as a gift?
A specific reservation cannot be made as a gift, but we have Elamusmajutus.eu gift cards for sale, which the recipient can use to make a reservation at a suitable accommodation on suitable dates.
I have special requests, such as late check-out or additional amenities (like a hot tub). How can I communicate these to the property?
When making a reservation, you will also see a list of additional services offered by the accommodation, such as early check-in/late check-out, hot tub, bike rental, etc. Tick the services you want and the accommodation will contact you within 24 hours (Mon-Fri) to either confirm or cancel them. If you have a special request after making a reservation, please contact the accommodation directly.
