Uueküti Mini House – a homely vacation amidst the dome landscape of South Estonia
Early morning, birdsong, sunrise against the backdrop of a picturesque dome landscape and toes in the morning dewy grass – this is how you can greet your day at Uueküti Mini House! Here, a hospitable family, a homely atmosphere and most importantly – closeness to nature, peace and quiet await you.
Unlike many other accommodations, you can feel genuine hospitality here, which is hard to find anywhere else. A warm welcome from the family, the hostess’s home-baked muffins, and the family dog Gerda, who immediately comes to make friends. It’s like you’ve ended up at grandma’s in the country!
The holiday home is located in the family’s home yard, which is separated by landscape and trees, ensuring privacy for both the family and visitors. The entire household was awarded the title “The Most Beautiful Home in Mulgimaa 2024”, as evidenced by the meticulously maintained garden and the meticulously maintained old threshing house. The place also has its own history: the area was once used as hunting grounds, and the name “Uueküti” connects the house to the roots of the place, while the family’s own home, Vana-Küti, still holds the legacy. To this day, Vanakütt himself guards the gate.
The house was completed in the summer of 2025 and is built for year-round use, so that visitors can also enjoy the charms of nature, peace and quiet in winter. The two-story mini-house offers comfort in a compact form: On the first floor there is a small but practical kitchen, toilet and bathroom, and a 140 cm wide double bed. On the second floor there are two 90 cm beds, which are suitable for children, for example. The terrace in front of the house is ideal for grilling, sunbathing, reading a book and enjoying the sunset.
The house was built using natural materials and you can also find recycled materials in the house. Good news for allergy sufferers and guests with sensitive skin – only Mulieres detergents are used here and the bathroom has Nurme Looduskosmeetika.
Uueküti Minimaja is best suited for couples, families or friends who appreciate closeness to nature, silence and South Estonian traditions. For nature lovers, there are hiking trails, forests and good places for picking berries and mushrooms in the surrounding area. In winter, there are several South Estonian ski resorts nearby, while in summer you can discover the rich cultural heritage of Mulgimaa: Wagenküll Castle, Karksi-Nuia, Tõrva lakes and the charming old town of Viljandi.
